It seems that saying that some good came of slavery was a bridge too far for Black conservatives. The Black Conservative Federation had come out to strongly condemn Governor DeSantis and his State Board of Education's position regarding slaves' learning skills. the organization states that this stance undermines the historical reality of slavery and the unimaginable hardships endured by millions of enslaved individuals.
