Today, Black Men Vote PAC, a national organization committed to moving Black men from the political margins to the center of American democracy, announced its endorsement of Representative Mikie Sherrill for Governor and Dr. Dale Caldwell for Lt. Governor of New Jersey.
“We are proud to endorse Mikie Sherrill and Dale Caldwell for Governor and Lt. Governor of New Jersey,” said Michael Bland, Black Men Vote PAC Executive Director. “Representative Sherrill has made it her mission to put forward an agenda that lifts all New Jersey residents and speaks directly to the realities Black communities face every day. From the cost of living and affordable housing to education, justice, and opportunity, Mikie Sherrill and Dale Caldwell will advance policies that strengthen families, open doors for our young people, and make government work for everyone. Black Men Vote PAC supports leaders who fight for our priorities, who believe in jobs, justice, and opportunity for Black men and our communities. Representative Sherrill and Dr. Caldwell have demonstrated time and time again that they are exactly those kinds of leaders.”
Representative Sherrill said she welcomed the endorsement and lauded Black Men Vote PAC for its work to elevate and engage Black men in all aspects of the state and national policy and electoral process.
“I am honored to have the support of Black Men Vote as we fight to lower costs, build opportunity, and expand economic development in communities throughout the state,” said Representative Mikie Sherrill. “In the Sherrill-Caldwell administration, we’re going to tackle systemic issues with thoughtful partnerships and real action. From raising taxes to cutting school funding and even defending school segregation, my opponents’ agenda will threaten the livelihoods and safety of Black communities across the state. At the end of the day, Jack only has room for one voice at his table — President Trump’s.”
Dr. Dale Caldwell expressed gratitude for the endorsement and support for BMV PAC’s work.

That’s why Mikie and I are working to drive a different type of leadership in New Jersey. We are laser focused on building a more affordable Garden State by closing the wealth gap by expanding first-time homebuyer support, making it easier for entrepreneurs to start and grow a small business, and improving third-grade literacy rates. Together, we will drive investment into our communities to build opportunity so every New Jerseyan can live, work, and retire with dignity.”
BMV PAC’s endorsement is part of its broader mission to empower Black men to use their collective voice to shape the future. BMV PAC mobilizes voters through grassroots organizing, digital outreach, and voter education initiatives year-round and across the country.
