Hi, this is George L. Cook III, the owner of African American Reports. I am also a trustee on the Union County College Foundation (UCCF), and we help students finish college at Union College of New Jersey, (UCNJ) attend and finish college.
We have a fund known as the Close The Gap Fund and I am raising money for the fund to help Black students attend community college at UCNJ. Many of these students are the first in their family to attend college and need help. The funds raised help pay for tuition, books, laptops, transportation, and meals and best of all it does not have to be paid back.
To date I have raised $15,000 for the Close The Gap Fund and was honored on July 17, 2024 for my work by the foundation with the Frank Bolden Award From UCCF.
While awards are nice there is still much work to be done and more money to be raised to help our students.Please consider giving today by using the button below.
