Life without water in Detroit.

Literally thousands of citizens in the city of Detroit have had their water cut off for non payment. This has happened while corporations and golf courses who have not paid and have higher water usage have not had their water turned off. Check out this video from the Detroit Free Press which shows how some Detroit residents are making it without running water in their homes.

Disturbing video, NYPD officers choke man to death.

Two NYPD cops ( Officers Daniel Pantaleo & Justin Damico ) have been put on desk duty after one used a choke hold to apprehend a "suspect" leading to the man, Eric Garner's death. Witnesses say all the victim did was break up a fight while police contend he was selling loose cigarettes.

It is worth noting that [SOURCE] Pantaleo has been accused of false arrest and violating police procedures in two lawsuits, court records show. In one, two African-American plaintiffs won $15,000 apiece after claiming they’d been falsely arrested on Staten Island in 2012 and forced to publicly strip so cops could search them. All charges against them were dropped.

RIP to Eric Garner and condolences to his family. Video of the incident is below. Warning, some may find the video disturbing.

Racism in the WWE: Interview with Mark Henry

Check out this interview by Marc Lamont Hill with WWE superstar Mark Henry and past star Koko B. Ware about racism in the WWE.

The new Captain America will be an African American.

Cue the fan boy outrage. Why? Marvel's most iconic and arguably most "American" hero will now be African American. That hero is Captain America.

[ SOURCE The new Captain America will be an African American.

Superhero Sam ‘‘The Falcon’’ Wilson will take over as the patriotic Avenger in an upcoming installment of the long-running comic book series, Marvel Comics chief creative officer Joe Quesada said Wednesday during an appearance on Comedy Central’s ‘‘The Colbert Report.’’

Wilson first appeared as winged superhero Falcon in 1969 and was one of the first African-American superheroes.

The change will come this November in ‘‘All-New Captain America’’ No. 1. The character was recently portrayed by actor Anthony Mackie in the film ‘‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’’
