Thirteen Years After Entering NBA, Steph Curry Graduates with Davidson College Class of 2022

Steph Curry, the Davidson Wildcat legend and NBA superstar graduated as a member of the class of 2022 today. Preparations for the Western Conference Finals prevented him from attending the ceremony but his achievement electrified the College’s 185th Commencement.

Throughout his NBA career, the two-time MVP and three-time NBA champion has repeatedly emphasized the importance of education, how much he valued his Davidson College experience and that he is committed to earning his degree.

Curry needed to finish just one semester to graduate. With the help of a handful of professors—two from Davidson, one from Stanford and a UC Santa Cruz professor who had taught Curry while they were both at Davidson—Curry finished the coursework and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Sociology.

Now that he’s graduated, Davidson College looks forward to an opportunity on campus in the future when it will present his diploma.

The Golden State Warriors acknowledged Curry's achievement.

Stephen completed his final semester of coursework this spring and will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology from Davidson College.

Golden State Warriors visit Obama during trip to DC

NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors met with everyone's favorite president....Barack Obama on Thursday after declining to visit the White House to meet with that other guy.

The team visited the former President on Thursday before their game against the Washington Wizards in the nation's capital.

The Warriors posed with Obama in a picture of the visit that surfaced on social media Thursday.

The team met with Obama for nearly an hour.

NBA champions Golden State Warriors to visit with D.C. students instead of Trump

The NBA champion Golden State Warriors will spend next week's trip to Washington, D.C., visiting local children after the team was disinvited (although the team had said they weren't going???) from the White House by President Trump.

The team told ESPN that the players plan to attend a small event closed to media with local D.C. children during their visit to the nation's capital, though details of the event were not readily available.

"It's their championship. They got disinvited to the White House, so it's up to them what they wanted to do. So they made their plans," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told ESPN. "I want the players to have a good day and to do something positive and to enjoy what they're doing."

The event was decided on after the team received invitations from Democrats such as Mayor Muriel Bowser and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) to visit the U.S. Capitol. But the Warriors decided not to politicize their visit to Washington.

"At the end of the day, it's about us celebrating a championship, so there's no point in getting into the political stuff and all that," forward Draymond Green told ESPN. "It's about something we did great. Why make it about [politics]?"

NBA star Kevin Durant will not visit Trump White House

NBA superstar and now champion, Kevin Durant told ESPN that he will not be visiting the White House when the Golden State Warriors visit in February because he doesn't respect the man in office right now. Read his statement below:

"Nah, I won't do that," said Durant when questioned about a White House visit by ESPN. "I don't respect who's in office right now."

"I don't agree with what he agrees with, so my voice is going to be heard by not doing that," said Durant, who said it wasn't an organizational decision. "That's just me personally, but if I know my guys well enough, they'll all agree with me."

Kevin Durant donates $57K to homeless kids in Oklahoma City

Kevin Durant apparently has no hard feelings toward Oklahoma City, despite the backlash he received after leaving the Thunder for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA offseason.

Durant's foundation has donated $57,000 toward an effort to build a new school for the city's homeless children.

Positive Tomorrows president Susan Agel says in a statement that Durant "has been instrumental" in helping the school's growth.

Durant spent eight seasons in Oklahoma City before leaving has a free agent in June. The move sparked anger among some fans who showed their outrage by burning his Thunder jersey.

This has been by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life. I understood cognitively that I was facing a crossroads in my evolution as a player and as a man, and that it came with exceptionally difficult choices. What I didn’t truly understand, however, was the range of emotions I would feel during this process.

The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player — as that has always steered me in the right direction. But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth. With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.

I’m from Washington, D.C. originally, but Oklahoma City truly raised me. It taught me so much about family as well as what it means to be a man. There are no words to express what the organization and the community mean to me, and what they will represent in my life and in my heart forever. The memories and friendships are something that go far beyond the game. Those invaluable relationships are what made this deliberation so challenging.

It really pains me to know that I will disappoint so many people with this choice, but I believe I am doing what I feel is the right thing at this point in my life and my playing career.

I will miss Oklahoma City, and the role I have had in building this remarkable team. I will forever cherish the relationships within the organization — the friends and teammates that I went to war with on the court for nine years, and all the fans and people of the community. They have always had my back unconditionally, and I cannot be more grateful for what they have meant to my family and to me

Did Blake Griffin intentionally throw water on fan.

During a NBA playoff game against the Golden State Warriors Blake Griffin seemed to accidentally pour water on a visiting Golden State fan while looking at a video replay. When I first saw it I thought it was an innocent mistake. But the more I saw the replay the more I think that Griffin did that sh*t on purpose, LOL. Of course Blake says he didn't do it on purpose.
