Phil Heath wins his 7th consecutive Mr Olympia!

Love him or hate him, the king stays on top. Phil Heath has won the 2017 Mr. Olympia making this his 7th consecutive Mr. Olympia contest. Heath is now tied with bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger for second most Mr O victories. While many question Heath's gut and feel he was not in his best shape the judges felt that he did just enough to edge out Big Ramy. The question now becomes can he catch Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney who both won eight consecutive Mr. O victories and maybe eventually pass them or will Big Ramy finally live up to the hype and beat him next year.

But that's a story for next year.

Congrats to Phil Heath the 2017 Mr. Olympia winner!

Dexter Jackson didn't let a third place finish in the 2016 Mr. Olympia bring him down. The 47 year old bodybuilding legend went on to Spain and claimed first place in the Arnold Classic Europe which was held in Barcelona.

The victory gives Jackson his 9th Arnold Classic victory and a record setting 27th victory in a pro show. That's right no other pro bodybuilder has won more shows, not Arnold, not Haney, not Coleman, not Yates, not anybody. Congratulations to Dexter "The Blade" Jackson.

Video: Phil Heath wins 6th consecutive Mr. Olympia

Sorry Phil Heath haters but the champ is still here!

Phil Heath fended off a group of great challengers to claim his sixth consecutive Mr. Olympia contest. In my opinion Heath came in in better shape than both 2014 and 2015, and maybe his best shape ever. The champ needed to be dialed in as competitors such as Shawn Rhoden and Dexter Jackson came in fully ready to challenge the champ.

Heath is now tied with Dorian Yates after winning his sixth Sandow.

Here are the top five finishers

5th William Bonac

4th Mamdouh Elssbiay (Big Ramy)

3rd Dexter Jackson

2nd Shawn Rhoden

1st Phil Heath - 2016 6X Mr. Olympia
